OUR EXPERT REVIEW

Why We Like It

You've probably seen the commercials for this card calling out features like no blackout dates and the ability to redeem miles with any airline. It's true! In terms of flexibility, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is at the top of the pack. With this card you earn 2 Miles per dollar on every purchase, every day and 5 Miles per dollar on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. And as a new cardholder, you can earn the big one-time bonus of 75,000 Miles once you spend $4,000 on purchases within 3 months from account opening.

In addition to its huge sign up bonus and generous rewards rate, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card stands out when you consider how you redeem your miles. No more having to navigate the intricacies of airline frequent flyer programs – with this powerful card you can simply redeem your miles as a statement credit towards travel purchases with any airline or hotel. But, if you don't mind doing a little research to get some extra bang for your buck, you also have the option of transferring miles directly to a number of airline frequent flyer programs and hotel loyalty accounts.

This card does come with an annual fee of $95. That said, the annual fee is quite easy to justify when you consider all the rewards you can earn. There's also no foreign transaction fees and your miles won't expire for the life of the account.
